Fandango cafe in North Melbourne may be a little on the small side, but before you walk out thinking that all the seats have been taken, make sure you check the courtyard at the back – even when it’s cold they have blankets to keep you warm.

This little gem of a cafe is situated next to some big name cafes, but that doesn’t stop them from delivering a lovely spread. You can expect them to serve coffee by Proud Mary, a selection of teas by T2 and a small but decent range of all day breakfast & lunch options that include: Bircher muesli, French toast with bacon, cinnamon baked apple, maple butter & maple syrup, Smashed Avocado on sourdough toast with two poached eggs & basil pesto drizzle, along with a range of wraps/sandwiches for lunch.

Don’t forget to check the international flavours menu, serving homemade traditional and absolutely delicious Shahi Paneer Curry as well as Butter Chicken Curry.

Finally, after nine years of service, I quit my job. It was time... I leapt on the opportunity to take ownership of Fandango cafe in March this year. Those first two weeks were amazing. Everything was new, exciting and terrifying at the same time.
